This is the first time that munsters big two have met each other in a championship match in Croke Park.Tipp had a good win over the overrrated gym monkeys but i would always fancy a Cork team with JBM involved to always have the whip hand over Tipp!
No offense mate but I fancy Tipp to win.
No bother were at our best when were written off!
Tipp by 8.
Cork will win this
The media battle not to be favourites in the lead up to the match will be the winning and losing of it.
Tipp never feared Cork.
This will be the polar opposite of the Limerick-Wexford match in that supporters of both teams on the INTERNET will insist they’re going to lose. The match will be decided when a supporter of one of the teams eventually breaks ranks and tips their team to win. I think that will be a Tipp person, as their natural hubris does not sit well with playing the poor mouth nearly as much as Cork, who are the masters at it.
Cork to win.
That was a putrid Dublin team yesterday. First touch was shocking. Tipp have beaten no one yet and Cork will handle them comfortably.

Five players at a push on that team wld get their game for Tipp. Nolan and Maguire are both better goalkeepers than Gleeson. Rushe, Kelly, Sutcliffe and Keaney from outfield. After that, nothing.
That particular JBM stat went out the window two years ago when Tipperary beat Cork in Cork. Tipperary have won 5 of the last 6 championship meetings over Cork, the only blip the shock 2010 defeat in Cork (after which things ultimately didn’t work out too badly for Tipperary). Cork have had serious hang ups about Tipperary in recent years and this is a group of Tipperary players who across the grades have spent their hurling lives beating Cork.
Looking at both teams objectively. I think Tipp have not really been tested thus far in the qualifier series. Galway upped the ante for about 50 minutes the first day out but Tipp always looked to have another gear. Having watched the munster final back I felt Limerick were as good as cork in that game and really should have been 5 or 6 up at half time. Home advantage would have been worth a few points to Cork in that game and only for Seamus Harnedy’s goal (as great an individual effort as it was), was very un Limerick like in its softness. That was the game changer. Cork fluffed their lines against Waterford first day out and we saw that Waterford were a rabble this year.
I think we have just as much fire power up front as Cork and should do enough to break even in midfield. I like the way the match ups look. I really dont rate their defence at all though. I think Bonnar could destroy Ellis and McDonnell will have his work cut out against Callinan. On the other side of the field Tipp backs measure up well against Corks prominent forward players. Paidi Maher should be able to compete well with Harnedy and Barrett/Cahill should be able to curb Cadogan/Horgan. If I was to call it I would say Tipp by 2 points.
Sure was. We need an injection of new players and fresh ideas. Daly has done a good job and owes us nothing but I think things have gone a bit stale now and it’s time for a change.
Who was coaching them Taz? Their basic skills were shocking.
Limerick beat Tipp
Cork beat Limerick
Form line therefore suggest Cork are favourites.
Cork dual players playing again this week so they need them to avoid injury.
Tipp were run into the ground against Limerick. Limerick were run into the ground by Cork. Croke Park plays fast and Cork have a lot of pace. If Cork show up with the required work rate Tipp will find it hard to stop them scoring enough to win.
And bring in who?
Sheedy would be the only outstanding candidate I can think of.

Would Cusack be in contention for it?
Keaney pulled a nice stroke across Maher yesterday.
Broke the hurley across his knees and Maher didn’t even flinch.

Cortisoned up to the eyeballs?
I doubt Dublin would take a punt on such an unproven coach.

Which Maher? Most of the Tipp team are named Maher.
