Aye Des, two pitches = centre of excellence.
What a fuckin pillock.[/QUOTE]
what they fuck are they plaing at
With all respect, this is classic âsnubbed Irish countryâ behaviour, looking for insult in a good humoured exchange where none was intended.
They were two cracking shots. Plenty of times 5 lads have been beaten on the line from the 21. Canât blame Nash for those two.
Brian Cody has to get up in the morning.
Anyone whoâs upset or pretend upset about Cody getting jeered needs to go out, go for a walk, pet a dog say hello to a neighbor and cop the fuck on. He most certainly doesnât care, either should you.
TippâŚthey owe us a high profile trimming. Canât see it happening on Sep 7th though.
Nah, school holidays.
A top keeper would have got that second one. The one handed dive was a woeful effort
Left a fierce amount of space open for the first one too
No that would be you referring to Tipperary as Chipp buddy.
Few beers. Reflecting on the emotions brought about by failure - Seamus Hickey seems a wonderful young man - character forged by failure and disappointment and dealing with it as well as the good days.
The rawest of emotion. Itâs a much purer feeling that victory which is shared to be enjoyed. Losing is something you face alone and it is purer for that. Shapes a rounded character to win and to lose, to deal with hurting and process it and balance against the high of a win. The loss seems more extreme an emotion whereas a win is often an emotion channelling something anti-climatic.
I know some of the lads on here like mindfulness. Interesting noticing how the thoughts and feelings cascade, ebb and flow as you process it and wonder about the lads at the coal face who expected to be training this week for a final and it is taken away as if in a sudden car crash. Itâs grieving a loss albeit it is a more transitory kind.
Confirmed how important it is for kids to get into competitive sports early on to learn to process that visceral hurt of losing, accepting it will pass and move on from it.
Ramblings so feel free to slate it.
Hardly pucked a ball off Richie Mc and wonât do much better off JJ. Donât get me wrong, heâs good, but not in any way unstoppable like the really best forwards on their day.
Didnât he get something like three points from play off Richie and won most of the ball going in? Now Richie McCarthy did do well but Callanan was also his toughest task this year
Two. Despite a lot of ball going in he didnât do a whole lot with it. Still not a bad return. Iâd expect something similar next day out. I edited my post above as I donât mean to disrespect him, Iâve said many times over the last few years that heâs a good player whoâll come good when he got slated, including by many tipp fans. But I donât think he is at the level of being unmarkable like Lar, or Henry, or Mullane, or Canning at their best.
Keep writing him off all you like, he won plenty of ball against McCarthy end result wasnât great but he still scored 2 points from play.
JJ hasnât been cleaned by too many.

See above. I donât think Iâm writing him off.
it was, much like yourself, completely harmless. it wasnât in anyway nasty like the way those kilkenny sports people jeered as Lar Corbett was carried from the field injured for example.
You are missing my point a bit. I donât want him to walk away, but ultimately he said he was there to win an AI, and I think with the talent he has that isnât possible after last year.
You have to take everything in the context of what we have coming through underageâŚwhich is nothing. There is no one out there. We have the worst underage in hurling of all of the major hurling counties. Unless the four lads trump for hurling I donât see where there will be an improvement.

No Iâm not. JBM himself mentioned the disparity between cork and late at u21 and then said despite the gulf in the 21s teams he didnât think there was any way cork would not be competitive with Clare the next few years. He disagrees completely with your view. As I mentioned, he brought Harnedy, Ellis and cooper from practically nowhere, proving you donât know everything thatâs out there.
