All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2016 You Are What You Eat

And they were ably assisted by referee letting mayo away with everything. O’Se and O’Connor should have had black cards today.

Dublin were off the boil today and that was Mayo’s chance. You simply have to take your chances when they come along and Mayo pass up on them time and time again.

A replay will shorten the winter and cast the scourge that is rugby to the back pages for another 2 or 3 weeks.

@carryharry makes a complete ass of himself and tries to deflect shock/horror

When will the Mayo Championship start off now?

Calm down sister.

Next weekend surely.

Connelly is no angel but that doesn’t mean the keegan can do what he likes. Refs constantly let keegan away with it. Even brolly was saying there in the studio.

The referee can’t be expected to watch 2 players specifically. Umpires & linesmen need to stand up & act.

I agree with that. When you’re at games and you see the runs / effort Andy Moran puts in compared to O’Connor it’s chalk and cheese. Moran was immense today. A large reason why O’Shea blazed one high and to the corner before the final equaliser, Higgins was dispossessed by Fenton at 2-6 to 0-12 allowing Dublin to counter and retake the lead, SOS and Higgins sliced feeble point attempts out right to the Dublin left corner back position in the second half was because COC literally stands in the D. He doesn’t want to know about making the hard run to win the ball under pressure like Moran did all day. But credit to him for coming off AOS’s shoulder and kicking the pressure equaliser. Mayo well deserved the draw and should have won by a bit but for conspiring to make some of the same old mistakes.

Not 45m, thanks for clearing that up.

Undeniable now that Tyrone were the best team in the Championship this year

Connolly was lucky not to get black for taking the legs from under him, and he went for his face a few times when Keegan just held his jersey. Dublin couldn’t do a thing in the rain, they are a pure hard running team and it hardly rains in Dublin anyway, a dry day will see them win pulling up.

Who said 45 metres you ape, I recall you saying 30 yards alright.

My thoughts on that:

  • What a fantastic 70 minutes of entertainment
  • Weather made a cunt out of the matcha quality wise.
  • Mayo showed great mental strength to come back from two terrible pieces of luck
  • Dublin were poor and Mayo may have missed their chance
  • Cillian O’Connor shouldn’t have been in the pitch to kick the equaliser as he should have been black carded
  • it was a brilliant piece of leadership to kick it

That’s fairly flawless analysis Farmer.

What about the Dublin management creating the template / environment / choose any other management speak type guff whereby the players are encouraged to express themselves freely and none of them told Connolly to retain possession from the lineball at the end?

From Twitter
Connolly is the type of guy who would unplug your life support machine to charge his phone

They just copied that referring to Diego Costa.

Can I just add one thing to that

That puts the greatest team of all time nonsense to bed. Sorry for intruding mate
