Its nonsense i would say. I know IC players who work in similar companies and they go in early 4 days a week to do 9/10 hour days so they can take off at 2 on a friday. Easily doing 45 hours still.
I know 1 got out of it because he wanted the life the lads think they all have. Ended up doing 50+ hrs

I said he probably got perks the others didn’t, but that isn’t the point. I’ve heard it from so many people what an “easy ride” he has at this stage that it just seems like an urban myth thrown about the place. I.e. When I see you say “he works a 4 day week”- that means nothing to me, it isn’t shift work ffs.
He is a smart guy who isn’t just in some random business development role. I’m sure he gets perks other managers don’t but if he wanted an easier life he’d get the fuck out of somewhere like PWC and into industry.

I have been on conference calls with COS the Friday before a championship match. He is probably let leave early for training, early being 4.30pm
As an aside he was not great today. Dived in and O’Shea skinned him for Mayo goal

The free that was missed by O’Connor wasn’t an easy one by any means, but certainly not one you’d expect him to miss either. Conclusion: bottle job, and that he missed it near side is an indicator of that as well. Afraid of putting it too far the other side, so adjusts a little, maybe, to make sure that doesn’t happen, and blows it. Such an error in judgement at such a crucial time.
Again today, there were so many times that shots for points could have been taken on but instead, handpass was the preferred option. The majority of lads don’t want to know any more unless its a shot in 5+ yards of space. Possession is king now. I suppose it was always going to end up this way for football, it’s just a wonder it took this long. Safety first now rules.
The marking was great and the defensive play at times was magnificent, but, and I said it after the drawn game, if this had been an early provincial game, it would have been pilloried.

Hurling snobs annoy the shit out of me.
I’m involved in Hockey these days and without any shadow of a doubt the Womens game is better than Camogie. The jury is out on the men yet as i have only seen them train, but its a seriously fast, tactical and skillful sport. I watched what aplarently was a shit Womans game today and it was easily better than any camogie game i ever saw.
Hurling is a good game, it can be ansolutely amazing occassionally, but its over rated by many.
