All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2016 You Are What You Eat

The chap himself says 8 onto 5:45 in this fluff piece, for whatever that’s worth

I remember back when they won in 2013 I think it was when they won it, him having exams the next week and it being talked about it on tv. People were saying the same stuff, that he has it easy and PWC gave him a load of time off for training and study that summer…something which is standard in any accountancy training contract.

Life is not fair. Whelan might be a pain in the hole of an analyst but he was the best midfielder we ever had

Hurling is a great game, football is a great game. But hurling is like rugby, played by a few. There’s only one All Ireland, the other one is two weeks earlier

Ger Canning said the same after commentating on hockey at the Olympics, and he is the voice of hurling.

A fine young man in fairness. Surely played some rugby? Has a nice bit of cutting about him.

Saturday Game has just started, chaps.

Thanks pal but I’m watching it already.

He says himself he was pretty crap, his brother was quite good.

I heard he wasn’t that great at football until he was around 18 or so and then it just started to click for him.

Probably to do with athleticism/physicality, which can always be worked on. His skills are softer, more technical and in the head. Excellent defender in the truest sense.

Lovely moment after the game when Andy Moran and two or three other Mayo players were still on pitch. Brogan went to them and had a hug with Moran and bent down to say hello to Moran’s daughter.

Twee but I liked it

Further proof that the worst thing you can do with a penalty kick, is think about it. There’s very little thinking going on in that head.

This Dublin team is in terminal decline and would not have won without the Mayo goalkeeping cluster fuck. Despite this they are the greatest Dublin team in our history

Ah they’re not. What the 74 -77 team achieved was far greater.

Culturally yes but This team is 29 games unbeaten. Lost one championship game in 4 years
