She could do with a woggle for that scout scarf.
Aidan O’Shea singled out as getting a bit of a free ride here.
Read that earlier. Good article in fairness. Mayo doing a lot of the big things right but just not getting there. Feels like Shannon has a bit of an axe to grind with O’Shea though
Shannon is an utter spoofer. Performance consultant me bollix.
Do you think O’Shea wasn’t taken in by his bullshit and that’s his issue?
Some lads would lap that shit up, some wouldn’t take anything from it.
Stats bear out that he’s talking out his arse, whatever O’Shea thinks. Dublin kicked 1-15 and four wides, Mayo kicked 1-14 and five wides. In other words they had the same amount of kicks at goal, ie Mayo were as likely to kick for a point as Dublin.
I thought the most interesting stat was the duds committed 31 fouls vs Mayos 18. #filthy
Maurice Deegan was ridiculously biased against Dublin.
There were a few Dubs players afraid to take shots on too which contradicts some of his points but despite any personal axe to grind I think he’s spot on on O’Shea. If the stories around the Hennelly selection are true, then it’s not going to change any time soon.

Maybe, Mayo only scored 9 from frees plus the one he missed (I can’t think of another? and I’m not going to find out) which means Dublin fouled in non scoring postions 2/3’s of the time. Where as the Dubs converted 8 frees from Mayos 18 fouls I can’t remember if they missed any frees but that’s at least 45% of frees in scoring positions. #cyncical
Also the Dubs dropped 7 short vs Mayo dropped 3 short, now while you don’t want your team dropping them short it shows Dublin were more inclined to take the chance
I know little enough about this sport but it seemed to me that not now of the Mayo forwards had the pace to really go at the marker . That is a massive problem .
New stuff really puts the fear of god into you.
Rob Carroll the best stats man in the game here would tell you that stats only ever show a small bit of the picture. So many things could be plucked to argue against your case or Shannons case or anyones, as long as reasonable
they need to put as much time into forward play as defensive play. That the big thing for Mayo.
(1) In other words they had the same amount of kicks at goal, ie (2) Mayo were as likely to kick for a point as Dublin.
Point 2 doesn’t follow from point 1.
Somewhat Correct. Kevin Mc move is robbing Peter to pay Paul. He had that ability. Evan Reagan does too but they didn’t use him.
However AOS going at them certainly got 1-1 if not more.

A load of old bilge, in fairness.
In fairness to who?
In fairness to Ewan.
