Your ref might issue the black for that, but @Nembo_Kid is correct. Letter of the law is that the fouled player has to be pulled to ground. The rule is probably too specific in that respect, easy enough to foul cynically without bringing the man down.

It’s a bit sad, even from a Dublin perspective. I spent my life watching Dublin and Meath serve up colossal battles. Dublin and Kildare too. What the fuck has happened to make Meath and Kildare so bad and so gutless?

The Ulster quarter finals were completely one sided this year.
Dublin would saunter past every team in Croker bar Kerry. Outside chance of Tyrone or Donegal upsetting them but they’re away on a different level when it comes to the work (& money) that they’re putting into preparing it’s difficult to see that changing anytime soon.
