All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2016 You Are What You Eat

What provincial losers go into the A side of the draw mate? You might have mentioned before but I forget.

Posted this yesterday:

For argument’s sake I’ll say that Galway, Tyrone, Kerry and Dublin win the provinces and the beaten finalists are Roscommon, Monaghan, Westmeath and Tipperary.

The quarter finals would then work out something like this:

Galway v A side qualifier (likely one of Cavan/Tipperary/Meath/Derry/Laois/Armagh)
Tyrone v A side qualifier (likely one of Roscommon/Cavan/Tipperary/Meath/Derry/Laois/Armagh)

Dublin v B side qualifier (likely one of Donegal/Monaghan/Mayo/Cork/Kildare)
Kerry v B side qualifier (likely one of Donegal/Monaghan/Mayo/Cork/Kildare)

Winning Ulster is a serious prize this year. An All-Ireland final place is definitely up for grabs by getting into the A side.

If Tyrone beat Donegal, it would be a huge disappointment if they didn’t make an AI final.

The A side of the draw is really weak - you’d expect one of Galway, Cavan or Roscommon in an AI semi-final this year.

Uh oh. SCRATCH all of the previous. Apologies.

Here it is.:

31 July
Quarter-Final
Kerry v 4A Qualifier
Croke Park, Dublin

31 July
Quarter-Final
Connacht Champion v 4A Qualifier
Croke Park, Dublin

6 August
Quarter-Final
Leinster Champion v 4B Qualifier
Croke Park, Dublin

6 August
Quarter-Final
Ulster Champion v 4B Qualifier

So the quarter-finals in fact line up as follows, again for argument’s sake presuming Galway, Tyrone, Kerry and Dublin win the provinces.

July 31
Q/F 1 Galway v A qualifier (likely one Tipperary/Cavan/Meath/Derry/Laois)
Q/F 2: Kerry v A qualifier (likely one of Roscommon/Cavan/Meath/Derry/Laois)

August 6:
Q/F 3: Tyrone v B qualifier (likely one of Monaghan/Mayo/Cork/Westmeath/Kildare)
Q/F 4: Dublin v B qualifier (likely one of Donegal/Monaghan/Mayo/Cork/Kildare)

So the Ulster champions will in fact have a tough quarter-final against a B qualifer, but will get the easier semi-final should they come through that.

Dublin will still have a tough quarter-final and semi-final.

Kerry will have an easy quarter-final but a tough semi-final.

The A side is pitiful.

Ye idiots.
Ye are so used to defensive teams that ye cannot see its just they are exposed against quick players and the new rules.
The rules implemented recently have assured the opposite of stopping negative play, they have largely insured it forever as corner backs are completely exposed now and that will.mean packed defense on-going. Tipp have decided to not go that way but thats the exception. Thats where Kennedy is a huge loss. He could have played a Cian O’ Sullivan role.

RTE are showing Mayo vs Fermanagh live next Saturday at 3.30

Anyone heard the murmurs of serious discontent in the Mayo camp?

Something to do with Aidan O’Shea wanting to pick the team?

If it’s something else, please elucidate in a non-PM message.

yep

Yes.

The O’Sheas walked off the panel because baby brother wasn’t picked now the O’Connors won’t pass to them because they forced another manager to bow to their influence, or so is the word on the street.

Fermanagh are dogged you know…

Greatest shower of cunts going that Mayo panel. Such an assortment of egomaniacs have never been bunched in one dressing room. And what have they to show for it, a couple of Connacht titles.

Mayo footballers, what a Shower of fucking gobshites.

Hoping today will be the beginning of a Mayo march to All Ireland glory

Blind optimism rating.

Meath going well in Owenbeg. They lead Derry 1-7 to 0-3.

Did you head up @anon98850436 ?

Derry footballers are a disgrace, they have the players to be doing far better than they are.

Fermanagh 04 were some outfit.

Some random lady in studio today.
