All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2016 You Are What You Eat

Diarmuid giving a masterclass

Big time

They will beat either Westmeath/Donegal/Tyrone next and into a quarter final with momentum built instead of strolling through Connacht

Is Cillian O’Connor playing?

Score DB?

2-13 to 0-12

Yes. No 15

Standard of referees in Gaelic Football is diabolical.

Diarmuid O Connor is twice the footballer his prick of a brother is.

What are you on about? They have played loads of decent stuff. Won midfield, wiped Mayo out on breaks, changed style and tactics easily. They are in great nick. They have some sort of pattern and plan. They were a joke last few years.

This has been quite an entertaining, free flowing game.

Tyrone/Donegal v Cork/Mayo
Westmeath v Cork/Mayo

Quarter-finals: - August 6th
Tyrone/Donegal v Westmeath/Cork/Mayo

Ideally from a Tyrone point of view. We beat Donegal tomorrow, Donegal draw Mayo and beat them. We can’t draw Donegal in a qf.

Looks like Galway are guaranteed an All Ireland semi at least

Munster with the largest representation in the last twelve with four of their six still standing. Have Ulster or indeed any of the other provinces ever matched this feat of 66% representation in the last twelve?

It’s statistically impossible for Leinster to have 66% of its counties qualify for the last 12, given that that it would need 8 counties to reach the last 12 to do so. 6 of the last 12 places are reserved for non-Leinster teams.

It would also take a statistical freak for Ulster to have 66% of its counties reach the last 12, given that it would need to get six teams into the last 12 to do so, with 6 of the last 12 reserved for non-Ulster teams. 5 Ulster teams have reached the last 12 on several occasions, however, such as in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2008, while Ulster has also provided 50% of the quarter-final line-up on several occasions, a feat which is again unmatched by any other province.
