I like Dunford but he’s better running from deep than as a traditional corner-forward.

Padraig Walsh is a really overrated hurler. He is aggressive and decent in the air but his distribution and decision making are very suspect. The Kilkenny system and Walter and Fogarty screening in front of him make life very easy for him.

Ah he’s really good at doing the job that Cody needs him to do. Cody wants his half-back line to be stoppers first and foremost, to stop the ball getting past. And Walsh does that very well.
Buckley is a better hurler but Walsh is a big player for Kilkenny.
Tommy was a bit like that too early on, quite selfish and wayward.
And i don’t think many rate Pauric that amazingly high either though
Waterford have carried the ball very well over short distances today. Creating the space to offload a smart ball. Gleeson the only one to fuck it up with frequency.
Excellent from Waterford but they’ll still lose this by 4-5 - KK will improve, Waterford won’t and they looked half knackered the last five minutes before HT.

Why change the style?
By all means bring him on, but he is actually very effective with ball to his right side in space.
Great half. Waterford really fronting up and rarely giving KK time on the ball. A lot of scores being taken from out the field too. Serious accuracy.
