Should O’Keeffe have stayed on his line for the goal? He came out at slightly the wrong angle and seemed to turn his arse on it at the pivotal moment.

Tend to agree. He actually made the goal bigger doing so from that angle. Staying on his line would have meant an easy save if Walter struck the same shot. Plus he turned his hole to it.
