Lyons doesn’t really give them type frees if they are in a scoreable position, there was another one in the first half when Glennon had his heels clipped and Lyons played on before he got word in his ear and called it back.
Galway’s attack was woefully poor, 3 unsuccessful shots at goal struck on the run off the hurl in the first 20 minutes showed the lack of composure. Cian Daniel’s had a bigger impact than 4 of the starting forwards, he has size but it looks to me like very little hurling.
It would put a stop to the fouling off the ball.
4 linesman probably better than 2 refs.
There’s no reason linesmen and umpires can’t draw refs attention. Especially for persistent fouling.
Although the delays between the calls were a little frustrating for supporters, I had no issue with the linesman calling a couple of frees on Sunday, even though they were against us.
Was it SOB who clipped someone’s heels with his hurley out the field? It was definitely accidental but it was a free, he did trip him. I’m not actually sure how Lyons missed it initially but that’s exactly what a linesman should be doing imo.

Yeah that one was possibly blown the longest gap after the foul happened… and while i agree with you, it needs to be blown a tad quicker too
I thought he was brilliant when it was still a contest. Two brilliant scores that he took down out of the air into his paw while on the run.
There was no one within an asses roar. All the better for all those who doubted the management
His touch to take down the ball on the run before stroking it over the bar should be hung up abroad in the Louvre.
All the lads questioning English’s ability as a midfielder or telling us he isn’t able to play in a system are gone fair quiet.

That Kyle Hayes score right after half time was the one that really killed Galway. It was a real ‘we are the best team of all time’ moment to see Hayes leaving Cathal Mannion for dead before splitting the posts to a huge cheer.
You can add Galway to the list of teams next year that won’t be pucking any ball down his wing.

He had a brilliant game. But he had a few very average games this year also…he was dropped for the MF but his cameo was almost the winning of it.
He got ate for large parts of the semi final but he was brilliant for the last 12 minutes or so.
He obviously doesn’t bring the robustness of WOD and his tackling is still poor … but his hard running, shooting and ability to come out of a ruck with it are huge.

He was held back for the MF to bring in pace in the last twenty and match the energy from cork’s subs.
Haven’t read through the whole thread or heard any post match analysis but is there a stat on ‘turnovers in contact’ or ‘turnovers when trying to run with it’ or something like that? I’ve never seen anything like the amount of times that happened Galway.
Can’t believe the turnover number is nearly the same for both teams 
He’s such a gifted hurler, you just have to make room for Adam. Some of the hooks he got were great Sunday.
Gillane in hindsight probably could have got motm, three goal chances he assisted - the handpass to Hego and stick pass to CON were top class, 4 brilliant points and a number of other point assists. He roasted Trayers.
Not bad considering he’s not a croke park player @peddlerscross
