All-Ireland U21 Hurling Championship 2016

:joy:

True enough

Doesn’t seem to be working for them in the men’s hurling, where they aren’t way more talented than the others

Very magnanimous from the Tipp posters here.

Waterford look average, Dublin will beat them handily.

Gleeson man of match?

The class you expect from a successful county.

Derek ‘the lipstick pig’ McGrath roaring at the waterford players and fans to all stay behind their own 45 for the pitch invasion.

Old habits I suppose.

They’re at that for years.
Any 2007 senior semi final. I went for a pint during the Kerry Monaghan football match. I met a couple of Waterford lads while queuing for the bar. We got chatting and they asked me how I saw tHoughton the match would go. I told them I thought they’d take us by four (which I genuinely did) They promptly told me it wouldn’t stop at ten. By sheer coincidence the same two lads weren’t sitting two rows behind me for the match.
As Brian Begley plucked a rocket out of the air, ran 25 steps and buried it, the lads got up to go and I waved them goodbye. Memories :grinning:

Absolutely brainless from William Maher to allow Gleeson the freedom of the pitch in the 2nd half.

What way are Galway this year?

I find myself staring in silent admiration at that Waterford performance

Sinn Fein’s Eoin O’Broin was beside him.

That Stephen Bennett lad needs to be reined in. A pink grip on his hurley and John Troy-esque #skillz. Can’t be having that sort of stuff in modern hurling.

And a mouth to go with it

Great that the waterford lads are giving the speech as gaeilge.Their own unique dialect mind.
But great to see them using it in TnaG.

In fairness they are a serious team and I doubt we would have done any better. But this fist pumping and goading has to stop. As well as making them unpopular, it just rises the opposition and I guarantee you it leads to an awful hiding down the line. You just need to look at their seniors from 2002 onwards.

Bar Austin Gleeson (Mount Sion), Mark O’Brien (Ferrybank) and Peter Hogan (Ballygunner) off the bench, that team was pretty much exclusively West Waterford.

Doesn’t seem to matter. The Shanahans are West Waterford and they fist-pump and kiss the jersey with the best of them.

Not great. Its Waterford’s to lose now.

Dungarvan + Clonmel.
2 cunt towns.
