Ya but between the two of us bottling it we never really meet.
Ah stop! Hayes took 7 or 8 steps at best. Moloney fouling him as the ball came in, and again once he got possession. Ref used common sense and we were treated to a peach of a goal.
We have played them very rarely since 2002 when the back door came in .
True .
Did Limerick win that game and subsequently shaft the great Tom Ryan? Limerick’s last major honour.
Tom Ryan was never great.
I’d say the semi final that year was the last time we beat the cats
Yes. The Limerick way
Shane Dowling has won
- All Star
- County Senior Titles
- Provincial Club Titles
- All Ireland Club Titles
- Provincial Senior Inter County Title
No League alright, and granted Hayes has won more of the above accolades but Dowling is still playing, but the point stands that some of the Limerick players he is talking about have the same medals as he has and only half way through their careers. Hayes was a great player but his comments on Limerick players essentially not having the bottle to step up are ironic to say the least.
A lot of people getting very wound up over what a fella from the 8th best county in the country is saying about the 9th best county in the country*
*according to league standings
A bit like a retired English soccer international having a dig at Argentina .
Where did he say this?
That’s not the same as Hayes.
You’re also making stuff up now as to what Hayes said.
Previous comments made by Hayes referenced an inability to step up. Unsure of whether they were radio comments or newspaper article
If Damien Hayes is classed as a “great player” the bar for greatness is being set rather low.
Now that’s a stretch
Damien has them all freaking out I see, well played
Limerick supporters rattled like limerick Hurlers in croke park.
Most here agreeing with him .
Well we’ll see what kind of an answer he gets come 3:30 Sunday
