Allianz Hurling League 2019

Least the Tipp defence has no issues with drainage. Silver linings and all that.

The boss knows the flush.

Who won’t make it out of Munster this year lads?

Waterford look reborn and will be playing at home this year, which seemed a big advantage for teams last year. Limerick tipping along nicely. Clare on their day could beat anyone, especially in Ennis.
Cork have been poor in the league, but it’s only the league and relegation wasn’t a problem this year. Not sure where the improvement will come for Cork this year though.
Tipp a complete mixed bag, but they have the bones of a very decent team there. Still looking at lads who are either passed their peak or have been tried and failed.

Munster will be pure box office this year. An early win and a bit of momentum could be everything. Limericks schedule is a disaster in this regard. Coming in cold in the second round, then a break, and then three in a row.

If I’d to put money on it, I’d back Cork & Tipp not to make it out. But it could be anyone really.

Away to Waterford looks a tough ask for us, at home then to Tipp who will have two games under their belt and a rest fortnight, if they have momentum we will be to the pin of our collars I’d say

*That’s before you include the 14 points from frees we will give away

Yeve completely lost the run of yourselves

Again these 2pm games are a pain in the hole especially away to Waterford, 4pm was always the traditional time for championship games.

Why?

Munster Council have shafted Limerick and Clare as a result of their incompetence in setting fixtures.

Leinster Council have used all available dates including the extra week added specifically to avoid teams having to play three weeks in a row. Meanwhile, the Munster Council seem to have just ignored the additional week.

I enjoy my championship days soaking up the atmosphere beforehand for a few hours, running into old familiar faces you always meet at the hurling, ripping the piss out of the opposition fans like yourself and so on. The best away trip last year for Limerick was the 19.00 game on a Saturday night down in Cork and I see Waterford have the same fixture this year, the whole day to get down there with no panic and plenty of time to enjoy the day whereas as 2pm throw in after a 2 hour drive the whole day is gone.

Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend :grimacing:

Fair enough points

Would you not get up at 7am for the dinner and a clear run at the day.

I’m working nights until 7.30-8 in the morning too to make things worse!

You’d want to be standing outside the door of the pub at 12.30 now to get full value for the day. Although the Ardhu seemed to serving away around 11 last year.

But it’s not even about drinking id normally have just the one regardless of driving or not, the socialising beforehand in general is a massive part of things for supporters.

Just to be clear. Waterford are also playing away this year.
