He last had it 15 years ago. Weāll see.
And taken nothing .
He had very few bad years with Tyrone post 2008.
Maybe 2014 when they bombed out early. Every other year they pretty much maxed out with what he had.
He brought Louth on a tonne and he will bring on Derry another bit.
While Harte kept Tyrone at a fairly high level pretty much to the end, there was definitely a feeling that the game at the top level had āmoved onā as regards him. Harte couldnāt really handle McGuinness at all. He definitely never beat him in championship and Iām not sure if he beat him in any match. Jimmy will be licking his lips ahead of their Ulster Championship clash.
Things probably got ropey enough around 2011-2014 but getting Gavin Devlin in with him seemed to reignite things with Tyrone and heās stuck with him all the way since.
A League Final v Dublin in Croke Park is a big game though. They canāt afford to bomb out there.
I think Dublin could beat Derry well in that, presuming it is Dublin v Derry. Dublin have no reason not to go for it. Thereās a lot of danger attached to that game for Harte and Derry. So too the Donegal game. It shouldnāt theoretically matter as regards the later stages of the championship but in terms of the tone of Derryās season it likely will. None of the teams who went out early in the provincial championship last year turned things around to any great extent. Monaghan had at least had one fine win over Tyrone to buoy them for the round robin.
Plus itās very hard to go full pelt from January to July, through a League campaign, a League final, a very tough Ulster draw and a round robin before the real business even starts.
Nice clinching point there for Tyrone from āJoe OāGooseā.
Dublin have Derrys number and well Mickey knows it.
Dublin have everyoneās number at the minute.
All the evidence so far suggests though that Derry have come on another bit under Harte.
No way would they have gone away to Kerry, Galway and Mayo last year in the League and won, walking all over Galway and Mayo in the process.
That derry midfield is too loved up atm. Sooner they get back to reality the better.
Rogers is out of form.
Big Emmett Bradley should be in there. Rogers needs to go back to the edge of the square and Chrissy needs a rest.
Heās now on the oppositionās radar . Harder when youāre a marked man .
Hercules will be running on fumes come late June.
Trampish. Jason Foley the man on the wrong end. Had to go off five minutes later with an ankle injury. He might not have had to go off only for this.
Looks pretty bad alright.
Heneghan putting his hand on the back to Foleyās thigh before the stamp was a lovely dirty trick to make sure he caught him.
Iād say heād it planned all week
