Theyâve come on a bit because Mickey has them flogged to death and at championship pitch in January. Itâll be interesting to see if they can maintain that level to the end.
His 18 years in Tyrone drew a lot of parallels to Wenger with Arsenal in association football. Won the All-Ireland/Premier League on 3 occasions in the early years before gradual decline while staying on the fringes of the action as a borderline top 4 outfit. Tyrone played the role well in 2013, 2015 and 2019 semi-final defeats where they acquitted themselves well but never fully believed they had the ruthless streak to win.
2016 v Mayo in the Quarter Final on a baking hot August Saturday was a huge cock up.
Sean Cavanagh saw red and they had about 5 chances to equalise in the end game and missed every one of them.
That was when Championship meant Championship. A full house for it.
Derry will break the mould if they get over the line. Theyâve none of the cynicism that counted for much of tyroneâs success. No-one is going to do what McConnell or mcmenamin did to take a star player out of the game. And they dont have the thuggery and cute hoorism that kerry rely on either. To have a chance against the dublin empire we would really need a sniper on the roof of the hogan
Derry bottled it v a very average Kerry side last year. Mickey Harte is yesterdays man.
They wonât get out of the super 8s.
In fairness kerry should have at least two men sent off in the first half, and the ref gave them a few ghost frees to get them over the line. In many ways in was a bad result for kerry, they werenât worthy of being in a finalâŚjoe should have allowed derry a fair crack at it
Is it joe rogan your rambling on about
No, the refâŚthe one that everyone was talking about
Youâre like a boxer who blames the judges when he had ten rounds to knock the guy out.
Only the weak blame the refs.
Only the weak rely on the refs. You should lput your enormous man love for clifford to the side and learn to discuss matters calmly and objectively
Youd be a calm enough fella most of the time but the continued bleating about Derryâs failure last year in unseemly.
Sure it wasnât even me who brought it up
Andy is fierce unlucky the way this stuff follows him around
A very set upon man.
Foley out for the Munster Championship, hard to see Kerry survive that blow.
In all seriousness though, that was a nasty belt. Be interesting to see what the GAA are going to do with it.
One match seems light
A few years back a few of the âunionâ types at the airport were giving out that certain passengers would get abusive towards them and it was unacceptable etc etc. So we set up a portal where people would log instances of passengers being aggressive/abusive.
80,000 people a day would pass through the airport every day yet, bizarrely, it was only ever the same four or five officers that kept encountering the aggressive ones. Mad how that happens
They are in trouble if it goes on any longer, they are fairly light back there as it is
Like that thing with the cops in LA where they were looking at how to fix public complaints and found out 90% of complaints were against 1% of the officers (or something along those lines)
