You’re a great man to spout tired cliches, especially for a young lad.
He didn’t looked fit in the second half. Looked a bit ponderous when chasing back once or twice. I wonder has he bulked up a bit too much.
The Kilkenny fans ran Cody out and he put up a much better effort v Limerick in 2022.
They’ll turn on lyng fairly quickly.
Richie Reid hit a few booming clearances in the first half last night up into the clouds; he was like a young Mark Foley
You sure that wasn’t Deegan? He has a fair auld wind up
No twas definitely Reid. Yellow helmet
I think Kilkenny are still struggling to get their heads around the passing game.
Both were at it and Clare clearly had a plan in place for whenever Richie Reid got the ball.
Timmy Clifford is a complete Enigma to me.
Johnny Murphy had a very good game yesterday.
He got a few calls wrong, notably the black card but overall he did a good job.
The fools are all over the internet with opposing views on the Mullen shoulder charge.
Anytime someone goes for a big hit these days it’s a card risk.
It clearly isn’t side to side yet depending on where they’re from lads are arguing that it is. How the fuck can a game be refereed like.
He has indeed.
Making the absolute most of what he has.
The locals will get that too.
Richie lumps it down the field. One sided.
Himself and Deegan love the lumping down the field off the left.
Lohan has done a good job in Clare too.
Saying anything else isn’t reasonable.
Both.
Deegan had all the time in the world at one stage yesterday and boomed it down to a Clare lad completely on his own.
It was a fabulous throwback and will get a load viewing in the video reviews this week down there.
KK didn’t do video analysis under Cody which is just fantastic to hear.
It was an excellent game yesterday in light of the conditions.
Very enjoyable.
90% of the time he’s fine, but the 10% when he goes freestyle is always during the crunch part of the game. No red card anyhow which would have been a bigger issue
I doubt it, it wasn’t a forwards game in fairness. There wasn’t a dominant one on the pitch, it was a backs game given the conditions, the amount of bodies both teams committed to the middle third and both teams backs dominating aerially.
Duggan and Reidy got through a lot of work especially in the first half in terms of harrying and tackling. Handling let Rodgers and McCarthy down have on a few occasions when scores were on. Galvin and Fitz are what they are, games like that tend to pass both by for long phases. Fitz is especially frustrating as he has little purple patches where he can exert huge influence but then drifts out of it - yesterday was a nice match up for him with Richie Reid where he had size and speed advantage but he had little interest getting involved. He was the same last year v Cork in Ennis, another plum match up in his favour, looked fairly disinterested for the most part but scored 3 points.
Getting this guy to be any way of a solid consistent contributor is by far Lohan’s biggest achievement. A lot of other management would struggle with his inconsistent effort and attitude at times but i suppose needs must at the time and when he is tuned in he is a serious weapon.
Johnny was acutely aware of the ramifications of any controversial red given last night particularly on the Clare side. Id say it would have had to have been absolutely blatant in order to be given
Does he stand out for the Boro? I rarely see club games in KK
