Thought Niland was poor enough today. Fluffed a few frees but he coughed up a lot of ball in general play. In the age of the giant hurler it’s difficult to carry both him Monaghan in the same forward line. Would not be surprised if Johnny Glynn forces himself back into the reckoning yet. Purely as a big ball winner stroke wrecking ball. Galway will have enough scorers up front between Whelan, Mannion, Cooney, Concannon and one of Niland/Monaghan. But not both.
It was yeah
An excellent assessment.
Thanks boy
Maybe Galway are going in the right direction but I don’t know how you could tell from that game tbh. If I was a Galway fan, I’d be expecting to win that given the circumstances. They had a decent first half but were so poor in the second half, they ended up being fairly lucky to get a draw.
I think Galway have a lot of talented players but they haven’t shown any sort of consistency in quality performances during Shefflin’s reign. Still don’t seem to have any idea how to get the best out of their forwards.
Conor Cooneys freetaking at IC level generally lets him down is the big variable. Can also play 3/10 every third day in Croke park when the needs are most.
A Tipp v Kilkenny League Final in Thurles is probably the only thing that could save Hurling right now.
Pearse stadium is the only ground in the country which is an away venue for both teams.
Fixed that there for you boss
I expected something better.
Tipperary have saved hurling many times before and we will do so again.
Someone is going to get killed soon from one of these hits.
Every game feels like its 20 a side now since all this ridiculous S&C nonsense has taken over instead of coaching lads to do the basics like handpass the ball properly or God forbid build up their wrists.
Clutching head was bizarre, calling it a flick is the same.
Bit of a dunt in the chest, if it hurt him there that’s what he should have hit the ground holding. Ref threw in the ball and a yellow card was given. Job done.
It was dangerous use of the Hurley.

It was late but would’ve been a soft red. The fact Casey dives 4/5 times a game looking for frees didn’t help him on this occasion.
What Casey has done previously is irrelevant lad. The challenge was septic and was a clear red.

Will have to agree to differ on this.
You won’t block much with the Hurley at that angle
I’m not moving on this.
