And calm down.
Itâs speaks to the environment they work in. If you donât think the environment they work in is a factor, then come on over and become a policeman in Chicago and see how you get on.
So youâre saying thatâs a justification for âunjustifiedâ killings?
No, of course itâs not justified, Iâm saying itâs the primary reason (cops who panic). You obviously know very little about human behavior if you think itâs unusual that a person who thinks they are in danger of being shot acts irrationally and shoots first.
Look, there are obviously bad cops, and cops who shouldnât be cops. Any cop would tell you that and I know quite a few and all of them have said that.
These are the unjustified killings youâre talking about now?
A person in possession of a gun who is professionally trained to handle stressful situations and uphold law and order, first instinct, should not be to discharge
There are three categories of cop killings imo.
- People killed who are armed and pose an imminent threat to others. Justified.
- People killed who are armed and hostile, the cop panics and shoots them. Unjustified but understandable in the environment that cops operate in where a lot get shot or killed.
- People killed by a bad cop, because of racism, malice whatever. Unjustified and criminal.
Agreed, and most donât.
Carrying armed weapons across the board is a huge error in their legislation. If it wasnt the case, those stats would drop in fairness.
Youâre some loon.
There are plenty white areas in the US where you wouldnât want to live, but I take your point. As for the responsibility for black ghettos, and the violence in black ghettos, itâs a highly complex subject, but I would say ghettos of one race or ethnic group are a bad idea the world over. Disastrous public policy basically. The welfare system has a lot to answer for as where is the incentive to do anything productive if your basic needs are provided by the government for the duration of your life? The biggest issue in black communities is black men not taking responsibility for their children, itâs a relatively new phenomenon (a few generations) but I would say the #1 reason for the hopelessness many feel. Education is the only obvious answer but hard to accomplish when itâs not taken seriously (not just in black communities).
There were 47 cops shot and killed in the US in 2018. There was also a spate of cop killings, in Dallas and elsewhere, in 2017 when BLM were most active.
As i said come on over and don the uniform and see how you get on.
How many US cops have you talked to on this subject?
Deary me.
This guy is literally Robo-Conservative.
Goodbye another thread.
Will that change the killings from unjustifiable to justifiable?
No, but you might develop an understanding of the subject.
You wonât though as it might threaten your champagne socialist view of the world.
There is of course another answer, the one that is proposed by AOC and the DSA. Disband the police force and allow communities police themselves. It works really well in Chicago apparently.
Another answer to what? The unjustifiable killings that youâre trying to justify? Youâre incoherent. Are you drunk?
Is English not your first language?
Disbanding the police force and having communities police themselves would obviously end all police killings, whether justified or unjustified. How hard is that to understand?
But there are very few of unjustified killings and most of them are justified anyway though, right?
Are you drunk? Read my posts back and if you still come to that conclusion I have to assume you are either a wum or of very low intellect.
