I’ve only used a paint roller once and i left a load of noticeable streaks when i did… Bad technique obviously.

The squeeze is on here to do some painting but I’m being quoted well north of a grand for a few rooms a ceilings- seems excessive… (it’s not @Corksfinedtboy guys)

Am i lesser man because i can’t use a roller?

Yes.

Get a good roller, make sure it isn’t full of lint and shit. Start at the top and don’t roll straight down, roll in a W and don’t be heavy handed. There’s fellas can’t tie their shoes can roll paint on a wall you ham

U should get 3 rooms done
Paint included and labour for a lot less
Your prob ref streaks is - cheap roller cage
And a mediocre or old roller sleeve,( get quality it’ll last - sane goes for paint)

Not in isolation pal. If you were out laying blocks 12 hours a day or a humdinger of a plasterer I’d say the lack of rolling skills wouldn’t be held against you

Painting is the ultimate test of the time is money theory
Absolutely anybody could paint their entire house but it’s time consuming, particularly the prep and masking

Can be tough on the arms as well when you’re not used to it
