Concussion is a brain injury, brain damage is a different diagnosis thst may or may not result from a brain injury.

Brain damage is a term used to describe a significant long term issue.
If I banged my knee on the table and cut it I would consider that a knee injury and not knee damage.

hard to know if this will change anything though. The only thing it will really do I think is expose the risks involved more scientifically. Players always knew there were risks, now it is being a lot more clearly identified.
