Killing Joke - Total Invasion
To be honest mate I’m not really into metal or hardcore per se, I like 70s punk alright.
My taste in music is fiercely eclectic so a lot of stuff you’re into might be familiar to me but probably the slightly more commercial ones, I listen to a lot of what you post when I have time (only through the laptop or ipad) and it’d be 50/50 whether I like it or not.
Have some friends into them but they bypassed me a bit. Saw Killing Joke live once but it didn’t really do it for me.
Ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod
This could easily be in the Smashing Tunes thread - Gibby Haynes on vocal is class!
Throat - Crazy Horses
Neil Fallon of Clutch doing vocals here
@PhattPike - a bit of ‘blackened thrash’ courtesy of Witchery, a proper fucking supergroup!
Josh Homme’s missus…I liked her stuff with the Distillers, but this is fan-fucking-tastic. On play number 2 already…
Brody Dalle - Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy ft. Shirley Manson
How in the namajaysus does that qualify as metal let alone angry metal?
That’s an incredible pricktease of a song. We should have a new album some time around 2026 at the rate they are going. Funny, when I popped open this thread an unfamiliar tune came over the radio with Mr Keenan’s distinctive voice and I thought they were playing the new song, but it was a Perfect Circle track.
Only listening to those Witchery tracks now, good tack.
Who knows mate? Does it even matter? It’s a beautiful piece of art and probably should have gone in the smashing pagan tunes thread.
Smashing tube indeed. Possibly a lovely lady as well.
Great video hooked me in as much as anything, I’ll have to see Iceland sometime.
Tool - teaching men about patience, since the early 90s.
Sick of it all playing in Dolans in mid August.
Tuesday night won’t suit me but I’ll probably come under pressure from a mate who’s a big fan and might rely on me.
Should be a great gig.
I’d love to go too. Might try to catch them in Dublin. Cracking band.
