Madball - Heavenhell
Love that NYHC sound
This is an odd one, may not quite belong here. I’m reading a book about the Cork music scene history at the moment and these lads feature heavily, I remember vaguely 5 go down to the sea and these were the same lads fronted by the legendary Finbarr Donnelly.
According to a comment underneath it was on Anything goes, check out the drummer playing out the window of a Cortina

They changed the camera intensity to make a blue Cortina white. One of the worst ones yet. I had to immediately listen to these classics back-to-back to get my head right again.
Dedicated Kennedys - Soup is good food
Minor Threat - I don’t wanna hear it
And then Megadeth come along, as they have done for much of their career since Rust in Peace, and shit all over Metallica with better riffs, better leads, better drums… Boom!
Megadeth - Post American World
Both great bands, but you neglected to mention Megadeth’s shit vocalist and lyrics.
That Metallica track is actually a lot better than expected.
“And then entering froo da gates of da temple…” For some reason I pictured the Sacha Baron Cohen character Bruno singing that bit.
Good kick to it all the same.
Cathedral - Tree of Life and Death
“In the garden of creation stands a skeletal tree
Hanging from its branches afterbirth of Adam & Eve
Blossomed in mutation rotted through centuries
Tortured minds heinous crimes plague God’s family”
Reading the thread brought back memories of Galway early 90’s. Two tunes stand out for me, Pantera’s Walk and RATM’s Killing in the Name Of. Used to hear them in Sally Long’s on a Thursday night and then off to Vagabonds. I unwittingly caused a mini riot in it one night. Memory is a bit sketchy but one minute the place was packed and the next it was pretty empty. My mates were nowhere to be seen. I continued to sup ale and when the night was over went outside. My mates said they were nearly killed cos of something i’d done and that they’d all been thrown out for fighting. Great days apparently.
Were Rage against the machine in this thread, do they qualify @ironmoth? great mosh tunes from the mid 90s, assuming Killing in the name is gone
Rage against the Machine- Bullet in the head

I’m going to have to start adjudicating on your posts here
I’m going to give this 4/5. Killing in the name would have only gotten you 3/5, but Bullet is the money shot on that album. I have a vhs somewhere in the attic of them playing it live in front of 100k+ people at the rock am ring festival in 1996. When the guitar and drums kick in after the bass and vocall near the end, seeing that many people mosh in sequence is fucking epic. It’s surely on YouTube. I’ll have a look…
Adjudicate my hole, I’ll never get a fair hearing here or on the celeb spotting thread, I’d say you didn’t even listen to that Lemonheads track, or These Animal Men.
I listened to the one about the white Cortina but with a blue Cortina in the video. If it was anyone else that posted it, I’d have flagged the fucking post. It was cruel.
That was half of microdisney mate, two degrees of separation from your beloved fatima mansions.
It was shit though, I put it up as an oddity and I remembered somebody here was a big stump fan.
