Caught these guys in Dublin about ten years ago. Some friends were supporting. Thought they were only alright. Seemed to be pitched as a halfway house between Mogwai and ISIS (the band)
That’s pretty much where they’re pitched. Been listening to their back catalogue all morning, and it’s very impressive. They keep pushing the envelope with each new release. Plus, their cover of SP’s Bodies is savage. Close enough to the original, but out on its own nonetheless.
You might like Twinzero pal. Formed from the ashes of earthtone9. Similar post-metal / progressive vibe, but way better than a lot, if not all, of what’s out there.

Faith No More are one of my bands of the moment that I am “opening up” to… dunno why I never bothered with them before, crazy range of styles.
