Annoying Office Jargon - Part III

Low life despicable cretins. I feel sorry for all of you.

Why does it bother you so much?

I am hearing the word “holistic” coming up a lot in conversations recently. And yesterday I heard someone talking about organising a “war room”.

Anthing to do with what’s going on in Ukraine?

No, unfortunately.

Woooooooooooo…

Get some!

The war mentality was common with managers in the 90’s. A manager would get everybody fighting amongst themselves. The strong (bullies) would rise to the top. The weak and meek would fail.

Problem was after each mini war there was always a mini recession.

We need to think ‘GLocal’.

That makes so little sense that it’s brilliant. You couldn’t question it.

Just remember to keep their business ecosystem in mind so that you can make their product offering a paradigm-shifting one.

Let’s take this off line. I have a hard stop at 2pm so don’t want to boil the ocean trashing this about on here.

“take this offline”

I love this line, I use this quite regularly.

It thinly veiled as… I did fuck all research before this call and am highly vulnerable here but by the time we link up offline i’ll be an expert.

Also used if it is 5.30pm on a sunny Friday and you have no intention of staying any longer on a conference call but don’t want to say that

I am not going to bop to The Eurythmics
