Annual Performance Reviews in work - the audit trail

What a load of absolute wank.

I contributed a total of no comments on my half-year performance review so I’m under pressure to provide a decent input for the end of year job. :mad:

I had a thread about these things before that I just can’t find. I had to redo my one for last year because Excellent in my place equates to perfection apparently. Fucking load of knob cheese.

I took serious exception to my managers review/grading of me in a former work place. I had gotten promoted out of his department but as I had been in his department most of the year it was up to him to give my performance review. Your bonus was linked to performance so the cunt graded me low so he would have more bonus money to divvy out amongst his current staff, despite the fact I was given the new job ahead of 3 or 4 others who had been there longer and were more experienced than me.

I told to him he could do what he wanted his bonus money and to just give me a fair grade.

fuck you, i’m not far enough along in the heirarchy of needs to be thinking of that bollox, i’m more worried about the roof over my head and eating, and even if i wasn’t there’s no promotions and there’s 20% less staff and my wages are down 13%, so in summing up - fuck off :guns::guns::guns:

Trying to fill these fucking things out at the moment. What a load of utter bollocks. If I just copy what I said about them last year would my staff notice I wonder?

Had mine last week. Some joke being judged by lads who are creaming the mileage and the expenses as their modus operandi. They have the cheek to call me out on Internet usage !:guns:

Doing mine now, we have to have them done by week one in January. It’s great.

I also have be on the other side with some really junior people this year (think Appendage type people). I will not be reading their forms.

The PMDS system in the public sector is a joke. No mention of performance at all in it.

It has to do with training. In other words, you’re shit but here is some training to make it look as if we are doing something about your shitness evn though it won’t make a blind bit of difference.

If Bandage or Farmer, or even rocko came on a made a claim that they weren’t reading their subordinates forms then I’d believe them. But not you briantinnion.

We had to have ours in by the end of September but in fairness I’ve been doing a good job and the boss was good enough to give me reachable targets. Only thing is I have to do them with 30 odd here at work. Have most of them done but still have a few to go. Mind numbing at times but can be interesting.

We have a formal annual review accompanied by an informal chat at half year-end. I joined a new team in the summer and I had the informal chat a couple of weeks ago. It turns out I’ve been a great addition.

I did next to nothing this year. Pints hints scargles yup.

Not really, I just say the same auld shite full stop. “Your work is graded on a scale of one to five, nobody gets graded one or five, a couple get 2’s, a few get 4’s. If I were grading myself I’d give myself a 3… this is where I see you…” (97% get graded 3/5)

Another good one is “I know you think this is your job but how can we turn it into your career…?”. That shit is gold, I should check the workplace lingo thread and see if anyone has it up there…

Training is generally useless unless regular and used day-to-day, its just like sport.
