Another horrific accident in Donegal

There is.

Fuck thats horrendous. The turn before the garden centre?

I witnessed this one.

https://www.rte.ie/archives/2020/0620/1143077-joyriding-car-theft/

Car turned down Furry Park Road from the Howth Road just after I had got out of a car. You could clearly see the poor old woman stuck in the car.

This one happened a couple of hundred yards in front of me as I was heading back towards Dublin on the M8. An older driver going contraflow on the motorway was the cause. It was scary shit being honest

Jesus

Well done

Outside the nursing home.

On kinsealy lane?

Think they have plans to improve that road, are the builders holding it up?

Fuck. We walk that all the time. Cars fly by and theres a few segments with no path by the fields. Even the alternating paths towards the malahide end are poxy. Cars regularly fly by walkers at pace cos it feels lawless with no road markings.

We were onto his wife at the time last night. She was onto us this morning. He had the leg amputated below the knee. Other leg is broken which we never noticed. Has some internal bleeding and he is having an operation to sort things this morning hopefully.

It’s a life changing thing, but at least he still has his life to live.

The roads is in bits. Came off my bicycle earlier in the year when I hit a pothole when the road was partially flooded.

Yep, completely unsuitable for whats been built there, think there is a plan to have an off roqd route for bikes from there to Portmarnock station

@Juhniallio , can you get an update on this

The off road route planned is through our estate and the new estate (the doll’s house) and rou d the back of the driving range. That is waaaay down the line as it involves cpos. There was a developer offer to put in a cycle and walk path from kinsealy lane to portmarnock coming through before scoil iosa but that was deemed unsuitable because it involved a massive housing density.
There has been money earmarked in the plan for development of chapel road but its unsure what that is. Id say most residents would be happy with speed bymps and pedestrian crossing betweens coopers and kinsealy woods. That road is currently lethal and has a tonne of kids crossing between the estates.
The current junction of chapel road and kinsealy lane is a nightmare and has seen multiple crashes and even more near misses over the last 4 years. An unequal crossroads with a high gradient hillstart to get into stopped traffic much of the time.

Brother in law does the old sawing. He says motorcycle accidents are the cause of most amputations. That and diabetes.
