Really good, cheap tablet but bad speakers.
Friend of mine is looking for a tablet as they are going away for a few months.
Looking to use it just for internet and Skype. I imagine this would be ideal.[/quote]
Having used it a fair bit over the weekend it seems fine. Battery life seems to drop to 4/5 hours if your are watching movies.
Have any of you utter cunts noticed a decline in the performance of your iPad battery after c 6 months usage? Battery doesn’t last very long and takes fucking ages to charge.
Can anyone recommend good app(s) for working with Microsoft Office documents on iPad? I’d like to be able to view and edit the documents. Would need it for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
They don’t need to be brilliant as I only expect to need them when travelling or if an emergency arises and a spreadsheet doesn’t agree to another spreadsheet and I need to fix it ASAP.

If you create an outlook.com account or you already have a Hotmail or outlook account then you can use Skydrive**.
Why is that important? Well with skydrive you can upload spreadsheets and documents and then edit them in Office Web Apps. That would be the best way of doing simple edits.

I have a Kindle Fire HD which I bought nearly a year ago. I find it a good job but don’t use it all that often aside from travelling which it is very convenient for
I have a Kindle Fire (the original one) which I rooted and installed Android Jellybean on. Works great as a standard tablet. I think the newer version is less restrictive than the original was so there may not be a need to root to it.
Final question, I can get the standard version for $15 or the HD version for $55. Whats the main difference between the 2? Is the HD version a lot better? HD version seems to have a later version of Android so I’m guessing its a good bit better?
Kindle Fire HD arrived this morning. If there are any tech experts out there who can give me extremely simple instructions on how to root it or get apps onto it then I’m all ears.
