My Kindle Fire seems to have died a death.
Refusing the charge and no signs of life.

Anyone got the new Nexus 7 or newest Kindle Fire?

I got a nexus 7 just before Xmas. Smashing bit of kit. Have given away the Kindle Fire HD I had. Way too buggy for me.

@cluaindiuic any idea if the Surface Pro 3 has LTE (3G/4G) capability?

@TreatyStones Looking into it. Could you not just tether from your phone?

By the way, Surface 2 Pro shipped with LTE in March.

Jesus the lads got it spectacularly wrong on tablets in the first page of this thread

Strange they would have it on the 2 and not the 3.
Its not for myself, these things need to be as easy to use as possible for corporate types

The hudl is a lovely bit of stuff.

Fair enough. Haven’t seen a mention of LTE yet. The event is still happening. Waiting on a definitive spec. This is the best I have seen so far.

Gas shit. Steve Jobs mugged 'em off good and proper.

Can you imagine these lads back in the early 1900’s… “Just saw one of them new Motor Cars the other day… what a load of shite… t’will never replace the ass and cart… shur, how would you tie it up outside the creamery?”.

A what?

The specs haven’t changed a huge amount from a processing point of view. Still no mention of LTE.

Disappointed they seem to be ignoring LTE. I know if it was me or you we’d just have one data bundle and tether off the phone, but for the corporate market (which it seems to be aimed at) they should really have it as option. It’s the only thing stopping me getting one for the top dog here.

HP have the Elitepad 1000 G2 which is in a similar space and has LTE.

You could go with the the surface 2 pro LTE. You may get a good deal with the 3 announced.
Drawbacks:
Smaller, less battery time

Set the head man here up with a Surface Pro 3 on Monday (formerly ipad user).
He has landed it back up on my desk and wants a new iPad instead.

Is he a technophobe? I hear the Surface Pro 3 is an absolute beast?

It’s savage.
He doesn’t like change.

Is there anyway you can get to keep it for yourself?
