Aqua Parks thread

Just saw on the news there some English young fella got sucked into the filter system of a waterpark in Thialand.

Anyone been to the Rhyl Sun Centre lately? Was there when I was a kid and thought it was pretty cool. Actuall, there’s probably some good ones within range over in Wales or England.
Even a decent theme park with a few rollercoasters would be worth a trip.

Probably the one we were at near Bangkok. Siam Park. It was a gigantic, crumbling Communist show-piece style theme park that probably dated from the 70s and clearly hadn’t had any work done to it since. Most parts of the park were defunct with the water-park part remaining in operation. Very eerie walking for ages around these empty attractions and offices and shops with nothing going on in them.

The day we were there there was us 3 lads and maybe about 8 or 9 other people. The slides seemed pretty dodgy. There was one slide which was so fast, jaysis, we must have went on it about a hundred times, literally until it was too painful to go again. My back was bruised to fuck after. A great day out. Laughed more that day than any other in my life. I still have the little Siam Park swimming shorts that they make you wear. I’ll wear them to the NAC so they know I’m an aficionado.

It was in that sex tourist place ArtFoley is gone. Patataya i think. Apparently his googles fell through a vent at the bottom of the pool and the silly bugger removed the vent to try to get them back. He was sucked in and killed.

Yeah I was reading about that kid. You’d assume from the start of the story that it was going to be down to ridiculously unsafe structures out there but he sounds like he was the type of kid who might have lost a couple of fingers trying to retrieve a penny from an escalator.

is that slide still going in Leisureland Galway?

you would travel up and down the Algarve a few times in the 80s to find a better slide than the one in Leisureland.

What the fuck is this thread. Fucking water parks me shite.
Another one signing in for the one in the Algarve. Was also in a place called Slide 'n Splash in the Algarve when I was about 7 or 8.

Water Parks are savage. Was at one just outside Salou last year.

I remember when Splashworld opened in Tramore when I was a kid. It was the best thing ever. Before that the closest I’d got to a waterpark in Ireland was the yellow slide and the wave machine in Trabolgan.
splashworld was deadly when it opened… the green slide with lights half way down… etc…

was in aqualand in maspolmas in gran canria few years back and only savage… the best slide was the yellow one that was about a 10ft straight drop… oh the panic in the twister when another boat arrived in and you were still there…

Did the Algarve one slide n’ splash a few years back. Fantastic day out. Had the parrot at the gate for photos too, but it seemed to love me, as most buurds do.

NAC is a good laugh. Have a few cousins we used to take there for years. Only 3 slides but they’re pretty good. Nothing like a real aquapark but still well worth it. Look out for the bodyboarding ride, it’s deadly.

An added attraction at Slide n Splash, the day I was there anyway, was the 100s of Spanish teenage girls knocking around. Queueing 15 minutes to get on a slide was actually a really enjoyable experience that day.

HAVE to get out to NAC as soon as I can now. Can’t wait.

I remember that being the case the day I was there, Thrawneen. Even ugly birds can look great in a bikini with a tan.

But some scalded fat Irish burd looks even worse in her bikini

The contrast that day between the bronzed, toned Spaniards/Portuguese and the white, fat British and Irish holidaymakers was very very cruel.

Actually now that I remember it, a fair few of the Spaniards and Portuguese burds are plump enough, it definitely doesn’t look as bad though when they are tanned.

Tanned and plump > White and plump > Scalded and plump

In Bali last year, we ended up spending 2 full days in Water Bom Park. Fucking great fun. Fitzy junior still talks with glee about it.

Wild Wadi in Dubai. Class spot. Can’t wait to go there again.

Well lads, finally made it to Aqua World in the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown today. Huge complex out there, though typical shite Irish sign-posting for trying to find the place.

The main attractions are 3 flumes, really. There’s a wave pool, a lazy river and a kids area but they were of little interest to me, to be honest.

First up was the Green Giant. Your average water slide but earns extra marks for being very fast. Loses them for having a less than smooth base, with bits sticking up between joins, bit sore on the back. 7/10
The Master Blaster is a ring-sit ride with its claim to fame being parts where you’re jettisoned upwards and spun around. Cracking finish too. 7.5/10
The Black Hole is properly intense. Fast, claustrophobic and pitch dark. I felt properly disturbed for a minute after. 8.5/10

Millions of bloody kids there today so I’d go early or late to avoid spending 90% of your time queueing. Bird-wise, there were a few nice mothers with large, comforting bosoms around the place and a selection of what I figured were foreign teenagers, of whom one had THE most spectacular set of bangers I’ve seen all year. They were truly gigantic.

Who did you go with? Did you just loiter around mothers and kids on your own?

A female friend and her niece. Amazing how much easier and guilt-free it is to ogle women when you’ve a nipper in-tow.

This is disturbing reading altogether.
