Hmmm.
I don’t know what to make of that.
I’ll reserve judgement for a while.
What I will say is that Murphy’s influence is clear.

I’m in limbo too, mate. But after that cunt chocolatemice starting such a cuntish thread I now have to keep up the facade of loving them. Therefore, this is clearly the tune of the year.
I don’t like it. But I did find myself humming it yesterday evening.
I don’t know what that means.
I love it.
I think this thread says more about the standard of music since over the last 12 years than about Arcade Fire.
I like it.
I love it.
I just liked that you love it.
Fun boys.
Lucky enough to have seen these guys live twice…two great gigs…a very good band…their new stuff is starting to grow on me…
Whenever I am asked about Arcade Fire, I always bring up this track which I think is simply outstanding.

Other than that they have some other very good songs and some very disappointing ones.

Don’t most bands?
Pearl Jam are by far my favorite band of all time, but they have quite a mix of genres even within their collection. I don’t like much if any of their punky stuff for instance. But they have about 20-25 amazing songs that I would never ever skip and another 30-40 very good songs.
Being great doesn’t mean perfection.
Listening to the new album for the first time now. Any early impressions / reviews? I’ll report back in circa one hour.
A triumph of epic proportions.

id imagine those conversations are very entertaining and uplifting
Just read The Guardian review of the new album. They call it “chic and metropolitan” so no wonder I instantly thought it a classic.
