I’ve been looking at getting one of these for about a month or so. Anybody on here have one or have any first hand experience with one? The docking station for it is crucial in my opinion.
I have the 605 wifi Flano.
Smashing piece of kit. Not the prettiest thing in the world maybe but it works well. Internet is very good with full youtube etc.
Video player is fine, plays movies perfectly through the tv with the battery dock (don’t have the PVR dock) and a cable out.
What’s the latest one?
Flano, whats the story with the longhorns logo?

The main reason I’m getting one is because of the DVR capability and converting all my vhs tapes.

Looks good. Lost my 605 a few months back and was about to buy that but then found my 605 and was all disappointed.
Just be careful what you get for the price. Lots of features are an extension that you have to purchase so it pushes the price up.

Have a look at the Series 5 instead of the Series 7 if you’re looking for something smaller.
I might very well do (I assume you mean smaller as in dimensions). I might also go for the lowest capacity (in other words, cheapest) one because I don’t really intend using it for storage.
Yeah it’s pocket sized whereas the 7 series is bulky enough.
Not 100% sure on a feature comparison but that site should explain it anyway.

60gb will suit me down to the ground. Being optomistic I’ll have it today sometime, if not it will be tomorrow.

I will do.
I did get the PVR/DVR dock with it alright. It was part of the package. It was essential I got that because the primary reason I got it was to record from my tv/vcr.
Finally got my hands on this yesterday. Initial reaction is that its a fantastic piece of kit altogether. Still have a lot of toying to do with it and see what exactly it’s capable of.

Wasnt it just Rocko :p. I wouldnt want to give it any marks just yet. I couldn’t find the password to connect to the network at home so once I’ve got it onto the network and tried out its internet etc I’ll be in a position to properly mark it. If I was to give it marks for irs record/playback functions it has to be 10/10 really. It does what it says it does and it’s really easy to use.
Quick question that I imagine Rock will have the answer to.
I was recording something the other night but when I check the recording 3 hours later I found that it had quit after approx 2 hours. Do you know what the deal is with setting it to record for longer?
