Happy Christmas kid

Herself said that whilst it’s really well intentioned, it is also really badly run. She said there just isn’t enough stuff in the bag for a family of four.
She felt, rightly or wrongly (rightly imo) that aldi vouchers would be far more effective, logistically better, and humane.

I went get cider for the ham earlier.
A flagon of Devils Bit cider is now €7.50 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I ended up getting 15 cans of Bulmers for €15 instead

The local crowd are brilliant. They have sorted out Santa presents etc. Local community have stood up. Schools, businesses etc. They got rakes of new toys, Smyths vouchers etc. to sort out Santa. Fresh fruit and veg all delivered yesterday and the parcels going out today. I brought in the usual tinned and dried foods, cakes, tea, cereals, biscuits etc. and a few toys. The amount of stuff they’d taken in and the woman there said it would all be gone out by Christmas Eve

This crowd have a limit on what you can put in bags, and it’s fcuk all.
If I had the energy I’d try and set up an Aldi voucher one, but I’m not sure whether you’d get lynched, and/or where to even start.

Savage amount of cider to cook one ham in

Keep it moist

Yep fire it into the oven for 30-35 minutes glazed with brown sugar and honey mustard, boiling in coke gives a lovely sweet taste to it.

Town centres very quiet around the place.

I’d be more of a Honey & Mustard glaze man myself

More or less. In Tullow tomorrow. Will be done by 11. That Dunnes in Mullingar is run by two of the soundest lads you’ll ever meet. (Manager and deputy manager)
We must be doing something right. Despite the views of some around here, Ferrero has more or less sold out in all the major multiples and discounters in the country. It is officially our best year ever ( after last year) in Ireland. I am absolutely bollixed kid. That being said we have it cushy for 10 months of the year
