I’ve managed to stave off the panto by the skin of my teeth this year. ‘Theyre too young yet’ … I’ll be crying in @Juhniallio 's arms next year.

What age are they?

3 and 1

Too young alright. 5 and 3 will be fine.

Half arse attempt last night. Trying to put the thing together and the fucking dog running around the room with fucking decorations hanging off her mouth. Eventually gave up and cracked open a can. Its like a hangover from the celtic tiger years with a half built Christmas tree in the corner and nobody around to finish it off

A pain in the hoop and like yourself no small kids that actually are excited about it

My young lad disappeared behind a couch at lunch yesterday - when I found him he had procured one of those chocolate bells off the tree (a fairly substantial height up) and was tucking in.

Happy Christmas lads

I dunno. Depends on the length. The panto in town is the guts of £75 a seat, and long. Waaay too long. I’d say 6 and 4 and at that it’d want to be a 90 minute job.
Throw in transport, popcorn, a lightsabre and the like and it’s the guts of 400 quid, and I’d rather go to the cinema any day of the week.

I tied numbers off the bits of the old tree when dismantling it a few years back. It makes it an awful lot easier putting it up.

75 pound for a panto ticket, I don’t think that’s possible?

We go every year on St Stephens day, a lovely family tradition

75£a seat? Fucking hell! Thats crazy for a family show. I thought here was pricey at about 35-45€ in dublin.

Here you go. Cheapest seats in the house this Saturday

No concessions for kids.

Tickets from 13 quid??

That thing I showed you is all that is available this Saturday (so when you could bring kids), and it’s restricted legroom.
Saying tickets from £13 is like saying the menu at chapter 1 is “from £13”.
There are actually seats on sale (during school usually) which not only have restricted legroom, but genuinely have “restricted view”. They are cheaper, but those £63 ones are not the most expensive at all. Not close. You said you didn’t believe it. I didn’t go looking any further than this Saturday.

But you can actually buy tickets for 13 pounds for every show between now and January except Christmas Eve and this saturdays matinee which starts at 24 quid.

What would be the most expensive tickets, according to the website it’s 54

I’ve the everyman booked for the christmas panto this year. Over 100 quid for all of us… which was still cheaper than the santa experience in Cuskinny, which I’m swerving and doing the panto instead
