What and outstanding player Totti is, the way he absorbed the time there and held possession in such tight areas under severe pressure was vital in guiding this young and naive side over the finishing line. Tachtsidis for Osvaldo is the only change from last weeks side, presumably Pjanic will be playing on the right of the attack, it will be interesting to see how this works.
Good start from us, we’ve looked a lot more secure at the back since the derby and this has given us a better base to launch our attacks.
Neto gives Siena the lead with a towering header from the corner, very unfortunate for us as it was against the run of play and there wasn’t much we could do about it defensively.
This pitch is very poor. Tachtsidis has looked clumsy today and Balzaretti continues to make a show of himself in the attacking third.

Siena employing all the dark arts here to stifle Roma, slowing the game down when the ball goes dead and some really cynical fouls in the middle of the pitch as we build our attacks.
Pjanic has been very poor in attack, we badly need to change things at half time, Nico Lopez or Osvaldo should be introduced in attack and it should be one of the midfield trio sacrificed. Dodo has to come on for Balzaretti who has been hopeless yet again.

This referee is a fucking gobshite as well, he has allowed Siena to cynically foul and waste time all game and now he has given Tachtsidis a ridiculous yellow card.
Definitely forcing it a lot more now but we’re having no luck.
I’m really disappointed Mr. Zeman has not changed the midfield with over an hour gone, the three of them have been underpar and Pjanic has struggled in attack.
