There is a very big rural/urban split. The coffin dodgers and the rural types tend to support the church’s preferred candidates. Usually on election day there is a passage in the readings from the bible that refers to “law and justice”. Just happens to be the name of the ruling party.
And it will be -12 in the next few days.

It’s not windy here so the wind chill factor is not as bad. You can get as low as -20 for a few days in January & February but not for extended periods of time. But I have seen rivers and lakes frozen. Might be no harm to invest in a cap.
