The first one is the corner of the main square in krakow and the second one is the planty, the green belt than goes around the old town for about 5km.

Krakow or Wroclaw. Personally I’d go Krakow but Wroclaw is a fine city as well. The Friday/Monday from Shannon is handy

Was part of Prussia. Konigsberg the Germans used to call it. Founded by the Teutonic knights. Changed hands over the centuries but primarily Prussian.
