Not even close to topping out yet
I’d say a couple of the 11 ahead at home may have a small asterisk beside them
A clatter of Irish women up shortly in the European indoors on RTE News Now. Rhasidat staying in the US so the prides of Wexford and Tipp will carry our hope in the 400m
Wan of ours is leading the pentahalon as well
Sophie Becker is OUT after finishing 3rd. She won’t be one of the fastest losers
She’s doing well but she ain’t leading
Sharlene with the run of her life to finish in 2nd. Likely a PB as well
Edit - half a second outside her PB
Are any of them in the Oregon project?
Another morning of Mac making excuses on the cards so
The ladies are doing their parishes proud
They all have to get up in the morning etc
The grey track looks great
You’d wonder how someone who speaks so eloquently could be from Tipp
Athletes are always so hard on each other
Sharlene is in sparking form this season. Shame Phil Healy isn’t for the relay. At her live ain’t easy.
She sounded nasally there. A few sniffs too and a mention of caffeine (to the gills I’m guessing).
She’s not right. She finishes 6th in the semi final.
Bang on the money
As a Tipp man I’m sure you can empathise with poor performance on the big stage
I know @TreatyStones won’t be able to start his Saturday without some key updates.
Israel was 4th in his 60m heat and gets an automatic Q for the semis. Didn’t look under much pressure in a fast heat.
Darragh McIlheny was a good 4th in his 3000m semi final and is into the final. Sat way off the back for most of it and then accelerated around the last 200m to be very comfortable. 9 of the 10 finishers qualified as it was much quicker than the first heat.
Sarah Lavin just came 2nd in her 60mH heat and is comfortably into the semis.
A good morning session for the 3 Irish athletes.
Tidy report
