7th for English in the semi. A bit off his PB. Didn’t look to have any legs left in the final 100mts. Very fast race.
I’d say unfortunately the best years are behind him. I think he’s working nearly full time in Galway as a doctor. Impossible to be keeping up with full time athletes when you’re doing that.

Once McLaughlin didn’t run it was hers to lose. Nice to see her winning after she messed up the mixed relay at the weekend

A bit irritating that the race summary screen (on VM 1 anyway) doesn’t show the World and Championship records so we can compare the athletes’ times to that

Fairly limited involvement from Ireland now I think. Just the ladies 4x400m relay on Saturday, and if Rhasidat doesn’t run in it then won’t have much hope I’d expect.
The 2 200m finals tomorrow evening should be great viewing.
Why would/will she not run in it?
