Is there higher seeds to join in for the semis ?

Yes. Adeleke, Mawdsley and Becker all received byes.

But is it the same for the men?

The Belgian that was running against Barr last night wasn’t running this morning so I’d assume few got byes also.

I think in all sprint events to encourage the big names to run with Olympics coming up.

100, 200 and 400 definitely. Wasn’t sure about 800. But 1500 upwards definitely didn’t have it obviously

That’s superb analysis

Chris O Donnell was part funded by the Jerry Kieran Foundation, set up by friends of Jerry to assist young athletes in his name.

Jerry is most certainly still around.

That is great to see.

I know, I know, about state funding, but forget that for now.

That’s class

Spain’s Paul McGrath going well in the 20km walk :joy:

This is priceless. Chris looks like he’s in the army. Rhasidat obviously got the Irish exemption in school. Tom can’t stop smiling and Sharlene is singing before she’s overcome with emotion.

3 or 4 lads after running 100m flat out despite there being a false start in first semi final. Didn’t hear the recall gun.
