Yes RTE should have kicked a URC QF with an Irish team playing to the kerb…the fact they have shown matches weekly and paid for the rights is an irrelevance

They were able to show 2 Irish teams on TG4 yesterday :man_shrugging:t3:

Yep. RTE had Leinster hurling final to show yesterday in the Leinster timeslot

Tg 4 have rights to games as well.

Ooohh. A URC quarter final, my word   .

So it’s possible for them to show Rugby elsewhere. Interesting

No that’s like saying sky could show one of BT’s games because there was something else on.

You surely understand this.

Are Sky and BT both run and funded by the UK government?

TG4 and RTÉ have separate budgets for sporting rights. They’re not the same organisation.

My auld lad said RTÉ should be ashamed of themselves that Friday’s final wasn’t on terrestrial television but what do you expect from McBennett.

Why would they not show a qf in a comp they bought rights for and showed week in week out :person_shrugging:

Because a European final is more important?

Is it more important to RTE than a competition they paid the rights for and show week in week out?

I was able to see the European final no bother on rte

Let’s move on.

It obviously wasn’t
