Bol ran over 50 seconds and the 6th fastest final leg. She was just doing the bare minimum and was never going to be caught if headed.
She may be from Tipp, but Charlene, what a woman.

Couldn’t have done any more, to be fair. A great run by all of them, particularly by Healy although she tied up a little in the last 50m. Sharlene has put in some shift in these championships, gave her all as usual.

Delighted for them all. A European track and field silver medal is a super super achievement.
That last leg is as fine a run as you’ll see. Pressure was on. 5 races. Could easily have blown up.

Delighted for Phil especially, she’s been around a long long time and has had her share of heartbreaks (athletically speaking),

Thought she might be under pressure to finish in top 3.
