Diamond league kicking off on BBC 3. Sarah Healy running in 5000m. First appearance in ages. I wonder will she stick with longer distance. Won European indoors at 3000m.

Bizarre 5000m results. Nearly PB’s across the board. Sarah took over 90s off hers so I’m guessing she hasn’t run that distance since she was a junior.

Keeley runs over 400m at 9.15 in preparation for trying to break the 800m WR in London in a few weeks
Saw a brief interview with Jenny Meadow on the socials yesterday when she ran through (pun intended) their athletes going tonight & aims/objectives etc. Said Healy had only ever ran 1 competitive 5,000m before but they wanted to post a qualifying time for the Europeans in Birmingham later this year to retain that as a race option however unlikely. I think that mark she set is well within the standard but she’d probably want to be a good bit lower in the 14s. Still a little odd she was seemingly absent from all M11 trainings as per their socials for a good few months either side of Christmas & nothing was publicly said about an injury or anything unless I missed it.
Was that a bit pointless?

Her PB is the guts of a second or second and a half behind the winners and she wouldn’t be used to block starts. They overhyped her relay run but that’s more level for her due to the standing starts.
Edit - and she took half a second off her PB.

Hodgkinson has a right chance of the longest standing world record left. I hope she does it mainly to get that drug-fuelled Czech out of the history books.

A cracking Stockholm Diamond League just concluded. Mondo and Keeley both beaten in big surprises. One of the best stadiums in the world with the crowd right in on top of lane 8/9
