I make that a speed of 2 mins 5 seconds per KM. I wouldn’t do it on a bike

Japan has an incredible amount of professional distance runners due to the popularity of the Ekiden races (I’ve read the book), with the Olympics this became even a bigger deal
40 is a huge number, but the shoes can’t be worth more than 90 seconds at that level
The manufacturers claim they are worth significantly more.
