Anyone use the website TrustedHouseSitters before? Going away for 2 weeks and have no one to look after the madra. Just my luck to come home to the locks changed and Spider from Coronation Street squatting in my front room.
mate find a boarding kennel. Much safer and better for the dog
Kennels are like prisons for dogs. Horrible owl places. Get somebody to look after it is a much getter solution.

The place i use the woman has fields and the dogs are brought out twice a day in groups and let free until bed time in groups of comparable sized dogs

That wouldn’t be an easy sell to my woman. She’s prefer not going away.

Rather that than give the keys to a stranger
I wouldn’t have much worth taking.
Its more the fact a stranger having the run of my house would put me off. I’d rather put the dog in a prison to be honest.

You can get people who mind dog in their house. We’ve done it and worked out fine
Kill the dog and buy her a new one when ye get home.

Anyone who got a dog because they were bored and wanted content for their social media and now doesn’t have the time is a complete and utter c*nt.
I’d say they’re many that got them and don’t even walk them, feed and watered and that’s about it.

We’re thinking of getting a dog here. And a cat. Going to get a shelter dog. They have an application process and they send a person out to check you out, where the dog will be sleeping, will there be someone home, age of the kids etc. I think what they do is volunteers keep 2-3 dogs at home to adjust them from shelter to home living and you visit the dog for a period of time to get to know each other, take them for walks etc . Most probably will get a dog in the New Year.

And are they insisting on site visits and 20 hour companionship per day for the dog.
Have used them or similar a few times. For the main part, very good and no complaints
One trick I would mention is, if going for a good few days, worth investing in Tile. A little tag you can add to their collars and then track their movement. That way you can ensure they’re being walked which id suspicion wasn’t occuring on 2 occasions wed employed sitters
