Auld lads whinging about having a few pints

I actually hate that smelly kip

I passed it the other day. Open alright. Don’t think I’d be brave enough to venture in. Looks quite unwelcoming from the outside. Though they are often the best spots.

The track bar looks like it might be apartments now. It’s not a pub anymore anyway

I had a soft spot for Grogans. It went up it’s own hole a bit alright.

The Track Bar is being done up atm.

To be a bar again? It looked like all signs of bar had been taken off it

Unfortunate timing for all concerned

I was talking to Connie Finnan last week and that’s what he was telling me

I didn’t realise that at all about the Track. I must ask the father-in-law. He occasionally goes up there.

I subsequently had a look online and there’s a Facebook page for The Launch. It doesn’t seem the worst, in fairness. Seems to be a big pool pub.

I sat beside Connie at a wedding before. Some bonus getting to be in the company of sports royalty.

Not sure if I hate Grogans or Boars Head more. Maybe I hate them equally.

A sound auld skin.

There are a couple of bachelor “farmers” out my way who would be in their 70s. Awful sauce merchants, the two of them would regularly tip into the market early on a Saturday morning with some spurious excuse to buy potted plants or tools and preceed to floor pints in the launch from 8am til 1pm and then get the 1:30pm bus home balloobas.

The fiesta would often be abandoned somewhere inside for a few days until a neighbour would be convinced to drop him back in for it
