that was some hammering Hawthorn gave Freo. Selwood only getting a one game suspension for his chicken wing tackle is fairly lenient. Fyfe, again, getting the benefit of the doubt. They must really want him to win the brownlow this year. Thats twice now he has avoided suspension that has been otherwise given to other players.
Selwood was fucking lucky, Judd got 4 games for the same thing a couple of years ago, It’s a shitty, nasty thing to see on a football field. Agree about Fyfe, they really do want him to win the Brownlow, apparently he already has an unassailable lead. He’s flying very close to the wind though.
wouldnt say Judds was the same, but it was similar. Judd wasnt involved in the tackle, he came in and just grabbed the arm and winged him. Selwood just over did his own tackle, so would give him that benefit alright. But not just a single week for it.
James Hird nearly killed himself yesterday crashing his bike on the way to his Toorak home (Saint James doesn’t have a home. He has a Toorak home) from training. The positive news out of this of course is that Saint James did not stay off the front pages for more than a day or two. I’d hate to see him being deprived of attention. Im sure he’ll be on 60 Minutes this week reliving his personal nightmare and sharing his uplifting road to recovery, his hot blond wife lovingly by his side. A conga line of suckholes, sorry, AFL legends will be rolled out to talk about their shock on hearing the news and Bomber Thompson will threaten to find the cunt who built that path and beat the shit out of him. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are blessed to have lived in a time that James Hird has bestowed his presence on. He is our hero. A god almost.
