James Hird, hot on the heels of a 112 point loss to Adelaide at the weekend, has been sacked by Essendon. No doubt he’ll return in a triumphant and emotional story of redemption in a few years. Or hopefully he’ll fuck off and we’ll never hear of him again.
I cant see him back. There was nothing good at all about his time as manager there, from the poor performances to the drugs and to the way he dealt with media. Essendon was the only club he could start working with, and he fucked it up so bad no other club would take him. Might get a coaching role alright, but cant see him ever in a top spot again.
