not a lot of people know that.

michael caine still has one of the best quotes of all time

“Have you ever seen Jaws 4?’ I said, ‘No. But I’ve seen the house it bought for my mum. It’s fantastic!’”

Heard it on the way from Vegas to Heathrow last year and it was immediately followed by an announcement correcting about 5 things on it (location of life belts etc). Plane was properly old too and the media player was terrible. Only had to sit there for 11 hours though…

@Tassotti we have only gone and done it again :dembele:

Flew with Delta to the States last month and had 2 internal flights as well. Different gravy to BA and AL offerings across the pond. Leg room, seat comfort, food offerings and inflight entertainment streets ahead. On top of that they offered unlimited booze on both transatlantic flights something that AL definitely charge for.

The internal flights were similar pleasant with inflight entertainment seatbacks on both even though they were both less than 2.5 hours. Definitely my new airline of choice when travelling Stateside.

Flew Delta last year internally in the States. Very good. They were texting me every five minutes with an update about my flight delay

You can end up on shitheaps on US airlines flying transatlantic. It’s lucky dip often.

AL are just consistently average. Wouldn’t pay for their business class.

Flew on that BA flight from London to Vegas and back a couple of years ago. I was well used to trips on Emirates etc so was somewhat surprised to see how far behind the BA experience was.

My wife’s bridesmaids husband will be fixing that I reckon.

Two colleagues who flew BA London to KL recently were delayed by eight hours over and two days back due to problems with the plane. They said the whole thing was an utter fucking shambles over and above the plane breaking.

Getting on an ordinary plane after an airbus is like getting off a jumbo onto a ryanair plane.

So some lad you barely know?

You can claim back on any delay now… We were delayed 14 hours a couple of years back LHR to BKK, put up over night in the Hilton and we claimed back a few months later and got 600 Euro each… Think you have up to 2 years to claim… Obviously, longer the journey the more you will be compensated.

Two interesting articles. Haven’t heard of “Flight Shaming”. It’s not that a don’t envy a guy with a holiday home in Spain, who flies over four or five times a year, but even if I had the money I couldn’t see myself doing it.

Yeah - it can be tough to keep 3 houses - it adds up very quickly.
